Thrive Now Foundation: Booking & Payment Policies

Know what to expect when you book a massage, give a gift voucher or join us for a course.

About Thrive Now Foundation

Thrive Now Foundation is a private, unincorporated, not-for-profit association based in Queensland, Australia. We operate two community projects: Mind Body Synergy Project and Conscious Touch Collective Project. Through them, people can receive a massage, learn Hawaiian bodywork and develop practical skills to support their well-being.

Thrive Now Foundation manages payments for massage appointments and gift vouchers through Mind Body Synergy Project, and for course enrolments through Conscious Touch Collective Project. All surpluses are reinvested in the Foundation’s projects and purposes. Prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) unless another currency is expressly stated before payment.

Our projects

Mind Body Synergy Project is the Foundation’s massage and holistic well-being project. We offer appointments in our studio and at clients’ locations. Our services include Ka Huna bodywork, Heartworks Lomi Lomi, hot stone massage, pregnancy massage and Meridian Tapping for emotional regulation. Customers can book appointments and purchase massage gift vouchers through our online booking system.

Conscious Touch Collective is the Foundation’s education and practitioner training project. We teach Hawaiian massage through practical Heartworks Lomi Lomi courses, including Foundation Level 1 and Advanced Level 2. The scheduled course terms below apply to our four-day, 38-hour, in-person group training.

Massage appointments: cancellations and rebooking

We understand that illness, emergencies and changes of plan happen. Please give us at least 24 hours’ notice whenever possible, so we can offer your appointment to someone else. You can use the link in your booking confirmation where available, or contact us directly.

For changes within 24 hours of your appointment, it is essential that you call or text 0415 363 372 immediately to give us time to make arrangements.

If you contact us before your appointment starts to cancel or reschedule, we do not charge a cancellation fee. You may transfer your prepayment to another appointment or receive a refund. If you paid by gift voucher, we restore the amount used for the booking to your voucher.

Missed appointments without notice

A no-show occurs when you do not attend and have not contacted us before your appointment starts. We have reserved that time for you, and without notice we lose the opportunity to offer it to another client.

A missed appointment fee of 50% of the booked session price applies once:

Unpaid booking: We add the 50% fee to your booking account.
Paid in full: We retain half the session price and refund the other half to your original payment method.
Paid in full by gift voucher: We retain half the session price and restore the other half to your voucher. Any voucher balance that was not used for the booking remains available.
Part-payment or mixed payment: Payments already made count towards the same fee. We return any excess to the applicable payment method or voucher and invoice only any shortfall.

Following a no-show, advance payment is required to rebook. That payment covers your new appointment.

If your practitioner cancels, we will contact you as soon as possible. You may rebook or receive a full refund of your prepayment. If you used a voucher, we will restore its value and extend its expiry where necessary to give you reasonable time to rebook.

Mind Body Synergy gift vouchers

Validity and redemption. Gift vouchers are valid for three years from the date of purchase. The expiry date appears on the voucher. To redeem it, provide the voucher code when booking or attending your appointment.

Value and balances. You can redeem a voucher for the service or monetary value stated on it. If you use only part of a dollar-value voucher, the remaining balance is available until expiry. If your chosen service costs more than the available balance, you can pay the difference. Vouchers cannot be combined with other promotions or special offers unless the offer allows it.

Refunds. We do not offer gift-voucher refunds for a change of mind. Vouchers are not ordinarily exchangeable for cash. If we agree to refund an unused voucher, we normally return the funds to the purchaser using the original payment method, unless another arrangement is agreed or required by law. This does not affect any rights the purchaser or gift recipient may have under Australian Consumer Law.

Lost or stolen vouchers. Contact us with the voucher details or proof of purchase. Where we can identify the voucher and verify its unused value or service, we will arrange for it to be honoured or replaced.

Expired vouchers and goodwill extensions

If your voucher has expired, please contact us with its details. We consider requests individually and may grant a goodwill extension for an unused voucher or remaining balance. Approved extensions are free of charge. We will confirm the new expiry date and how to redeem your voucher.

If a goodwill extension is applied to your voucher, you are welcome to pay the kindness forward by purchasing an additional gift voucher for someone else or rebooking with us as a gesture of goodwill in return, but this is optional.

Conscious Touch Collective: scheduled course bookings

Confirming your place

The fee for our four-day, 38-hour group course is $1,500 AUD per person. To secure your place, complete the enrolment form and either pay in full or pay a $375 deposit towards the course fee.

The remaining $1,125 is due 14 days before the course begins. For enrolments accepted within those final 14 days, full payment is due when your place is confirmed.

If you need to cancel

Please notify our course instructors/facilitators as soon as possible if you cannot attend. Call or text Conscious Touch Collective on 0415 363 372.

You can cancel before the course begins, including within the final 14 days. The 14-day date determines when the balance is due. The following cancellation terms apply on either side of that date:

We will make reasonable efforts to fill your place and reduce any loss. We take into account the notice you give, costs we save and any payment from a replacement student.
We may deduct only the reasonable costs and losses caused by your cancellation that we cannot recover. The maximum total deduction is $375, and it cannot exceed what you have paid. The deposit counts towards this limit.
We will explain any deduction. You may choose a refund of the remaining payment or credit towards an available future course. If no cost or loss remains unrecovered, the full amount you paid is available for refund or transfer.

For a transfer, we will confirm the course date, your available credit and any difference in price before you agree.

If we cancel or materially change a course

If we cancel before the course begins, or materially change its date, location or content and you cannot accept the change, you may choose a full refund, including your deposit, or a transfer to an available alternative course.

If you do not recognise a payment or believe the amount is incorrect, please include the transaction date and amount so we can locate it. We will review your enquiry, explain what the payment relates to and work with you to resolve any error. Refunds are returned using the original payment method unless another method is agreed.

Nothing in these policies limits your rights or remedies under Australian Consumer Law.
